Mark & Cathy Donnelly
Cathy was a beautiful bride, whose radiant smile brightened everyone’s day. The love and commitment between these two lovely young people was evident right throughout the service and the rest of the day, as they shared lots of tender and precious moments. The church service was simple, moving and diginied, conducted by Rev Raymond McLarnin.
A special metion must be made of Lorraine, Cathy's sister, who was bridesmaid. I don't think I've ever known a bridesmaid who was more attentive to the bride! She continually helped with the train of Cathy's dress, held flowers and umbrellas, and looked lovely all the way through. Best of all, when we stopped shooting because of the rain (out at Glenariff) she brought out juice, grapes and wee buns! Well done Lorraine!
There couldn’t have been a better day for photography, with soft diffused light right throughout the day, - although some showers did slow down the afternoon a little. But no fill-in flash was needed, and shutter speeds were kept around 60 – 125th Sec. Between the ceremony and the reception, we went to Rev Alderdice’s garden at Glenariff. The gardens there are beautiful, with lots of places for photo-opportunities. Little gazebos, water-wheels and bridges are dotted among the tiered lawns and a lovely little stream with a waterfall meanders through the grounds. The grass was a bit wet following the rain, but we still got some really charming images.
So, thanks again for a great day – and every happiness to Cathy and Mark as they start their married life.
